My international background helps me connect with clients, whatever their perspective. Having personally moved eighteen times makes me particularly sensitive to my clients’ transitional needs whether they are moving from neighborhood to neighborhood or from country to country. I am a Certified Relocation Specialist and can refer you to a qualified agent anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Europe.
While I was growing up, my family lived in California, Senegal, Switzerland and Morocco. I studied linguistics at UCLA and earned a degree in French Literature from UC Berkeley. Prior to becoming a realtor, I had a long career in management, marketing, merchandising and sales at Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Ann Taylor as well as at my own textile design company, Nothing But Red. I have been a Bay Area resident for nearly twenty-five years. My husband, Walter Ratcliff, is a Berkeley native and is the president of his own management consulting firm. My son Gabriel is a sophomore at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon.
When we work together, you will be able to rely on me to:
Listen to your needs and be your advocate through every phase of the home-buying or home-selling process.
Anticipate and prevent any problems that could arise during escrow.
Keep you apprised of current market conditions and property values.
Negotiate strongly and persuasively on your behalf.
Be a resource for the highest quality lenders, inspectors, contractors, stagers, landscapers and other professionals needed to support your move.
Offer continued service and support after the close of escrow.
